In 2010 for one semester in Auckland, we lived in a very nice house in Mt Eden, near the CBD (just 10 minutes by bus or bike ).

We would like to recommend the house to people who are looking for a place to stay. The house, with garden, has different rooms for every budget and some rooms are suitable for couples as well.

We really enjoyed living with people from all over the world and made some good friends. If you are interested, just contact the friendly kiwi landlord, who always helps you if you have trouble with anything.

The Mount is situated in beautiful Mt Eden. This sunny, fully furnished two storied large house is surrounded by a generous garden for your enjoyment.

The Mount is run as a flat for international travellers that are seeking medium to long term accommodation. The rooms are clean and are of a generous size, all fully furnished including linen . Each room has its own character, some rooms lead on to a deck or have outside access into the garden or come with their own lovely, private conservatory. The house is ideally situated only 2.5kms from down town Auckland, the central business district and University.

We cater for travellers on OE, working or students, all in the 20 to 30 age group.

Flatmates are outgoing, mature, relaxed and tidy. Perfect environment for making friendships.

The Mount is easy walking distance to the supermarket, meals, gym, heated indoor pool, public transport, banks, plus as a bonus Eden Park.

Eden Park is home to Auckland cricket and rugby and will also host the Rugby World cup this year.

If you enjoy mixing with people from Germany, France, The Netherlands etc then this is the perfect accommodation for you.

About Mount Eden

Mount Eden is one of Auckland's most beautiful, vibrant, inner-city suburbs, known for its leafy lined streets. The village is an electric mix of historical buildings and more modern architecture all of it dominated by the Mountain. There is an abundance of seriously good cafes and restaurants.

Mt Eden is regarded as the "Home of Arts", in Auckland, due to the amount of creative activity in and around the community. Eden Park will be hosting the Rugby World cup this year.
